Best of Africa Tour

South Africa and its rainbow nation, attracts visitors from every corner of the globe with friendly, hospitable people, glorious weather, a rich variety of wildlife and nature experiences, spectacular scenery. For visitors, South Africa is truly the experience of a lifetime.

The biggest draw card for visitors to the country is the wealth of wildlife. South Africa is home to the Big Five – elephant, leopard, rhino, buffalo and lion. The famous Kruger National Park is bigger than Israel.

The landlocked Kingdom of Swaziland is surrounded on the north and south by provinces of South Africa, and on the east is bordered by Mozambique. The Kingdom provides travelers the ideal gateway between KwaZulu-Natal and the Kruger National Park, as well as Johannesburg and Maputo – no better route is available with added advantage of discovering a whole new country filled with bygone African traditions and culture. With an area of just over 17,000 square kilometers, Swaziland is the smallest country in the southern hemisphere (comparable to the size of Wales in the United Kingdom, and the state of New Jersey in America). Swaziland covers an area of approximately 193 kilometers from north to south, and 145 kilometers from east to west. Small as it may be, Swaziland is an exciting tourist destination with its art and craft outlets and traditional markets and wildlife reserves.

The greater St Lucia Wetland Park and World Heritage Site, is the largest park of its kind in the country. The spellbindingly beautiful area is a delicate balance of natural ecosystems including swamps, beaches, coral reefs and woodlands.

The majestic Northern Drakensberg is the highest part and possibly the most impressive of the Drakensberg mountain range rising to over 3 000 meters. Known to the Zulu people as Ukhahlamba, or ‘Barrier of Spears’, the Mountains of the Dragon provide a magnificent semi-circular border between KwaZula-Natal and the inland mountain kingdom of Lesotho. The watershed of the basalt peaks divide the rains and snows, some flowing westwards over the alpine plateau of Lesotho towards the Atlantic Ocean, and some down the frequently vertical slopes into KwaZulu-Natal, towards the warm Indian Ocean.
